Park Hyatt Tokyo reopened in December 2025 after a restoration that Hyatt says took 19 months, following four years of planning. Hyatt announced the reopening on December 9, 2025. The hotel first opened in July 1994 as the first Park Hyatt in Asia, and it suspended operations in 2024 for the work.
It occupies floors 39 to 52 of Shinjuku Park Tower, designed by Kenzo Tange. Studio Jouin Manku redesigned the 171 rooms. The new Park Suite measures 915 square feet, and the Diplomat, Governor's, Tokyo and Presidential suites run from 1,506 to 3,122 square feet.
Girandole by Alain Ducasse is new, with Kojiro Tsutsumi as Chef de Cuisine. New York Grill & Bar on the 52nd floor and Kozue, which serves modern Japanese cuisine, continue. The Peak Lounge & Bar has a cocktail menu called Six Prefectures, One Skyline. The Delicatessen was due to reopen in March 2026.
Club On The Park, on floors 45 and 47, covers 22,600 square feet. It includes a swimming pool under a 47-foot glass atrium and a spa with seven private treatment rooms.
“today announced the reopening of Park Hyatt Tokyo following a 19-month restoration, marking the most comprehensive renewal in the landmark’s 30-year history”
The operator’s wording, read on its own page and last checked 1 November 2026.
