Park Hyatt Vancouver is the planned rebrand of Hyatt Vancouver Downtown Alberni, formerly Shangri-La Vancouver. Hyatt's July 2025 release said 2026. Its release of August 25, 2026 puts the Park Hyatt opening in 2027, and its Canada release of October 28, 2026 gives no year.
Until a multi-million-dollar redesign of the guestrooms, lobby, public spaces and spa is done, the 119-room hotel operates as Hyatt Vancouver Downtown Alberni at 1128 West Georgia Street. It can be booked through Hyatt's reservation channels and is part of World of Hyatt. Hyatt describes it as the tallest building in Vancouver, with views of the harbor and the coastal mountains.
Carlino, the hotel's restaurant, serves the cuisine of northern Italy, with pasta made fresh in-house daily, and Hyatt calls it Michelin-recommended. Once the hotel joins the brand, it will be the first Park Hyatt in Vancouver and the fifth Hyatt hotel in British Columbia.
