Opened 30 October 2026

Waldorf Astoria Kuala Lumpur opened in October 2026, and Hilton had set 30 October as the opening date. Its June 2024 release listed 279 suites and a 2025 opening. It is the brand's debut in Malaysia, at 73, Jalan Raja Chulan in the Bukit Bintang Golden Triangle, close to the Petronas Twin Towers and Pavilion Kuala Lumpur.

All 268 rooms are suites, from 80-square-metre one-bedrooms to the 745-square-metre Waldorf Astoria Suite. The design firm Deboss Collective used natural stone, warm timber and woven textiles, with joinery inspired by traditional Malay marquetry. The art collection was put together with the Islamic Arts Museum Malaysia, and the hotel clock takes its geometry from historic Islamic astrolabes in the museum's collection.

Yaari serves refined Indian cuisine shaped by Garima Arora. Jean-Georges Vongerichten's market-to-table concepts are JG KL, abc kitchens KL and The Bar by JG. Peacock Alley is the signature social space, a daytime lounge that becomes an evening destination, and The Istana serves breakfast. The Waldorf Astoria Spa covers 2,275 square metres across two floors and uses La Prairie treatments. The Grand Ballroom, at 1,545 square metres, accommodates up to 2,500 guests for receptions.

The operator's wording, “will open on 30 October 2026”, was read on its own page and last checked 1 November 2026.
