Four Seasons Hotel Rio de Janeiro is set to open in 2029, according to the operator's announcement of December 10, 2025. It will occupy the existing building known locally as Hotel Marina Palace, on Leblon beach, which the operator describes as the tallest building in the area.

The building will be completely renovated, with its vintage façade and interiors transformed. The plan is for approximately 120 rooms and suites with panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean, a rooftop bar and pool, and a signature restaurant serving locally inspired cuisine and international classics.

Spa and wellness amenities and beachfront activities are also planned, and the operator puts Galeão International Airport a 30-minute drive away. Catuaí Asset is the partner, and the operator notes that its renderings are for illustrative use and not final.
