Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons, A Belmond Hotel, in Oxfordshire was due to close temporarily for a redevelopment, with a grand reopening scheduled for 2027. Belmond's release of 9 September 2025 says the transformation would begin in January 2026.
Raymond Blanc OBE founded the manor house hotel in 1984, and it has held two Michelin stars in every year since its opening. The potager kitchen gardens supply the restaurant. Blanc moves to the role of Lifetime Ambassador. In January 2026 Belmond named the French chef Arnaud Donckele, who leads La Vague d'Or in Saint-Tropez and Plénitude at Cheval Blanc Paris, as culinary director.
The release says the reimagined hotel will improve its accommodation, culinary experiences and garden landscaping. Belmond lists Villa San Michele in Florence, Splendido in Portofino and Maroma in Riviera Maya among its other recent rejuvenation projects. No room count or reopening month has been published.
“This pioneering manor house hotel, renowned for Michelin-starred garden gastronomy and founded by Raymond Blanc OBE in 1984, will begin its transformation in January 2026, with a grand reopening scheduled for 2027.”
