Six Senses Telluride is planned for Mountain Village, just above the town of Telluride in the Colorado Rockies. IHG's release of 26 August 2024 says it is set to open in 2028, and a January 2025 release repeats the year. The resort will have 77 keys and 24 branded residences, and IHG calls it its first luxury resort and residences in North America's Mountain West.
It will sit in a box canyon among the 14,000-foot peaks of the San Juan Mountains. Vault Design leads the masterplan, Rose Ink Workshop designs the interiors, and the finishes blend cedar siding and local stone. The residences will range from two to five bedrooms. The release links the project's approval to its respect for the setting and to LEED Silver certification.
Plans include a specialty restaurant, Omakase dining, the only rooftop venue with a pool in Telluride and a speakeasy bar. Six Senses Spa Telluride will have a sauna, steam and hammam and a cryotherapy bath, and ski concierge services will get guests onto the slopes in winter. A free eight-mile gondola links Mountain Village to the town in 13 minutes, and Telluride International Airport is a seven-mile drive away.
