SLS The Red Sea is open on Shura Island, and the brand's own site lists it as "Now open". Ennismore said in October 2025 that November would mark the premiere and in January 2026 that the grand opening would come in 2026. It is the first SLS hotel in Saudi Arabia.
The hotel has 150 rooms, suites and villas, including 15 pool villas. There are five restaurants and bars: Fi'lia for Italian cooking, Seabird for seafood with a Spanish and Portuguese twist, Floating World for Japanese-influenced sharing plates, The Perch by the pool and Deluxe, an all-day cafe and bar. In-villa dining runs around the clock.
The pool is the largest on the island and the centre of the resort's social life, with DJ programming. Ciel Spa has six treatment rooms, an indoor water circuit and an outdoor hydro pool, and the gym is open 24 hours. Rising Stars Kids Club, described as the largest on the Red Sea, runs from 10 am to 7 pm, and there is an outdoor cinema. The resort is LEED Platinum certified and runs on solar electricity.
Red Sea International Airport is 25 minutes away by car, or 20 minutes by boat or seaplane.
