The Oberoi Sukoonvilas, Wadi Safar is scheduled to welcome guests in the first quarter of 2027, according to Oberoi's release of 28 September 2026. That is later than the hotel's own earlier pages, which gave October 2026 and late 2026. It will be the first hotel to open in Wadi Safar, the development near Diriyah about 30 minutes from Riyadh.

The resort will stand on a 70-metre escarpment across more than 37 acres. It will have 60 standalone villas, from 87 to 340 square metres, and 10 branded residences. Aedas is the architect and Blink designed the interiors, drawing on Najdi architecture. A waterbody runs through the middle of the grounds.

Yatra will serve contemporary Indian dishes from Michelin-starred chef Rohit Ghai, Linnet is a pastry cafe led by Lily Vanilli, and Beyla is the all-day restaurant. Wellness runs through ASMI by Oberoi, with hammams, indoor pools and a 65-metre infinity pool facing the valley. Jeremy Canivet is general manager.

King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh is a 45-minute drive away.
