The Red Sea EDITION opened in October 2025 on Shura Island, the first hotel to open there, according to EDITION's release of 14 October 2025. It is EDITION's second hotel in Saudi Arabia after Jeddah and was developed with Red Sea Global, whose vision the release ties to 100% solar-powered infrastructure. The hotel page gives the address as Shura Island, Red Sea, Saudi Arabia 48313.

The resort sits on a kilometre of private beachfront beside Shura Links, an 18-hole island golf course designed by Brian Curley. Rockwell Group designed the low stone and wooden pavilions, whose rooftops are shaped to resemble coral formations. Guests drive from Red Sea International Airport across Saudi Arabia's longest internal bridge to reach the island.

The operator counts the rooms two ways: 240 guest rooms including 53 suites in the release, and 240 guest rooms plus 53 suites on the hotel pages. Select suites have private outdoor pools. Dining includes The Lobby, Central, which serves New American food, and Jiwa Beach Club, led by Indonesian chefs. The release also named ANASA, an Aegean-inspired restaurant led by Chef Basma Elkhereiji, as due to open in December 2025, but the hotel's restaurant page did not list it on 1 November 2026. The spa has five treatment rooms and a Recovery Dome, and the 316-square-metre gym is open 24 hours.
