Opens November 2026
The date moved later than first announced.
Fairmont The Red Sea is due to open in November 2026 on Shura Island, along Saudi Arabia's Red Sea coast. Accor's release of 2 December 2025 said May 2026, so the date has moved, and the hotel's own page now reads Opening November 2026.
The page counts 193 rooms and suites, villas included, and each room type lists a terrace. The Club rooms will add private check-in and concierge service. The 31 pool villas will run from one bedroom to a five-bedroom sea-front villa, each with a kitchen and a private pool.
The hotel will be halal, with six restaurants. The page names three, Tresora for Mediterranean food, Aysu for Turkish dishes and Zaina, adults only, for Pan-Arabic specialties. The spa will have a hammam, an aqua tonic pool and five treatment rooms, with treatments from partners including Sodashi, 111Skin and Maroc Maroc. The resort will have four main pools, and the page counts 35 once the villa pools are included.
Ground transfer from Red Sea International Airport will take 30 minutes, across the Shura Bridge. Shura Links, with 18 holes, is described as Saudi Arabia's first island golf course.
The operator's wording, “OPENING NOVEMBER 2026”, was read on its own page and last checked 31 October 2026.
