Opens in 2027
Kempinski Saigon River is a planned riverside hotel of 100 guest rooms in Dong Nai, on the outskirts of Ho Chi Minh City, and Kempinski's first hotel in Vietnam. Its current page says it will welcome guests from 2027. An April 2024 release had set the opening for the end of 2026, so the date has moved at least once.
Kengo Kuma & Associates designed the hotel, which reimagines traditional Vietnamese vernacular architecture. The 2024 release splits the rooms into 90 guestrooms, from 65 sq m, and 10 suites including a Presidential Suite. Landscaping is by the Bangkok studio PLA, with bridges, ponds and gardens along the river and a perpendicular canal.
The hotel is part of a 55-hectare development that will also have residences, schools, a sports club and retail along 700 metres of riverfront, and Ecopark Corporation is developing it with Kempinski. The 1,500-sq-m Resense Spa, all-day dining, a signature Vietnamese restaurant, a riverside bar and an Executive Lounge are planned. The trip from Ho Chi Minh City is a 45-minute speedboat ride.
The operator's wording, “will welcome guests from 2027”, was read on its own page and last checked 31 October 2026.
