Opens in Q2 2027

La Citadelle Vauban, Emblems Collection is scheduled to open in the second quarter of 2027, according to Accor's release of 1 April 2026, and the hotel page says only 2027. The hotel will overlook the entrance to Le Palais harbour on Belle-Île-en-Mer, the largest of Brittany's islands, and will be the first Emblems Collection property in France.

The citadel was first built in 1549 and worked on a century later by the master military engineer Sébastien Le Prestre de Vauban. It is a listed historic monument. A restoration programme began in September 2025, and the partners named include Valode & Pistre Architectes and Pierre-Antoine Gatier, Chief Architect of Historic Monuments.

The hotel will have 90 keys. The hotel page gives 55 rooms, 34 suites and one house, while the release gives 49 rooms, 22 suites and nine apartments. Paris Society Consulting will lead the food and drink concept for two restaurants and one bar. The plan adds a wellness destination of about 2,000 square meters, a museum and a kids club.

The operator's wording, “scheduled to open in Q2 2027”, was read on its own page and last checked 31 October 2026.
