Opens in 2027
Rosewood Milan is due to open in 2027 with 70 rooms, including approximately 20 suites. It will be Rosewood's fourth hotel in Italy, on the edge of the Quadrilatero della Moda, the city's fashion district, and steps from Via Montenapoleone.
The property will encompass Palazzo Branca and Palazzo della Banca Commerciale, built in the 19th century and formerly home to the Italian Commercial Bank. Rosewood calls the project a welcome addition to its portfolio of revitalized historic buildings. It says the design will set the romantic grandeur of historic Milan against contemporary design, with the city's role as a hub of global fashion evident throughout, and that the hotel will embody the energetic spirit and culture of Italy's fashion capital.
Plans include a bar and restaurant with a courtyard and garden, and an Asaya wellness facility with three treatment rooms, an indoor pool and a fitness centre. Rosewood Hotels & Resorts was appointed by the real estate firm Gruppo Statuto to manage the hotel, according to a release of 26 October 2022.
