Opens in 2027

Rosewood Rome is due to open in 2027 at Via Vittorio Veneto 111-119, in the former headquarters of Italy's Banca Nazionale del Lavoro. It will have 147 guestrooms and suites. The hotel is centred on the headquarters building by Marcello Piacentini, which Rosewood describes as one of the city's most significant twentieth-century landmarks.

The date has moved. Rosewood's release of 14 January 2021 said the hotel would open in 2026, and it gave the room count as 157 accommodations, including 44 suites. In that release the project extends an entire block and takes in three historic buildings from the early 1900s. That release also named the architecture and engineering firm Jacobs to lead the transformation, with interiors by the Australian firm BAR Studio, and said Antirion SGR had appointed Rosewood to manage the hotel.

Rosewood's current page describes destination dining and social venues, and a wellness experience inspired by Roman bathing traditions within the bank's former vault, plus Asaya's wellness spaces and a terrace. The 2021 release described three dining outlets: a contemporary Italian bistro, a lobby bar and café, and a rooftop bar with a terrace.

The operator's wording, “Rosewood Rome to Open in 2027”, was read on its own page and last checked 31 October 2026.
