The Okura Resort Muscat is due to open in 2027 in Muscat, Oman, according to a release dated December 5, 2022. Hotel Okura's press page lists no later statement, so the date has not been reconfirmed in almost four years. It will be the first Okura-branded property and the first Japanese-branded hotel in Oman, with Saud Bahwan Group contracted to manage it.

The resort will have 150 guest rooms of about 50 square meters each, with views of the Al Mouj Golf course and the Gulf of Oman. The lobby and public spaces will blend Omani and Japanese styles. Dining will include all-day dining, a teppanyaki restaurant and other Japanese cuisine, and western-style fine dining. There will also be indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a spa and a gymnasium, with seven banquet and meeting rooms. The address is Plot No. 1078, Hay Al Mouj, and the airport is a 10-minute drive away.
